The thrills, (and some spills!) continued this week!
Love, love, love, love is all we need
We celebrated Valentine's Day on Tuesday, 14 February and the treat of the day were the 'love letters' sent to the children, by family members and friends, which were read out in classes. The teachers have more in their update below.

Exercises of Practical Life: How to Fold a Napkin (Medial Fold) – It is common etiquette to place a napkin when setting the table. This week, we have learnt to fold a napkin medially - an exercise from geometry that also requires small motor skills. Please do try it at home with as many variations as you can think of!

Sensorial: Sound Boxes (Pairing) - This activity is performed by pairing Sound Boxes. (The link provided offers more information on the properties and purpose of this Sensorial material.) The child develops the ability to discriminate the intensity of sounds, refining his auditory sense and thereby fine tuning hearing, which is critical to language development.
Names of Continents and Oceans - Locating and learning the names of the continents and oceans using the Continent Map.
Kinds of Leaves – The child is exposed to the area of botany to relate more to plant life. Here the types of leaves are introduced (simple and compound leaf).
